The Drive with Big Al & DMac LIVE in studio! Al & DMac agree Todd McShay’s latest mock draft is wrong, and DMac says things could get awkward with Case Keenum as Denver’s QB1 considering Von Miller & Co. wanted Cousins. Mark Schlereth joins the show to say it all depends on what the Broncos want to spend on a quarterback, and there is currently no consensus No 1 overall QB in the draft this year.

LISTEN TO HOUR ONE HERE!!!

The guys discuss the CU vs ASU basketball game, and if CU has done enough to be considered for an NCAA tournament bid. The Broncos are well-represented at CU’s pro-day, as John Elway, Gary Kubiak and Matt Russell are all in attendance. Al & DMac agree Todd McShay’s latest mock draft is wrong, and DMac says things could get awkward with Case Keenum as Denver’s QB1 considering Von Miller & Co. wanted Cousins. Also, Al explains why landing a game-breaker at the No 5 overall pick is critical, and DMac says he wanted ‘Player X’ not Keenum. DMac asks Al about the mindset of the Philadelphia Eagles and the Los Angeles Rams, as both NFC playoff teams continue to make moves in the offseason. Al wonders if Richard Sherman has done enough to be considered a Hall of Famer, and DMac points to Champ Bailey as the standard for cornerbacks. Also, now that Peyton Manning has moved on from Papa Johns, DMac desperately wants him in the broadcasting booth. Al & DMac take a call about a fantasy-world trade with the Buffalo Bills at pick No 22, and if Tyrod Taylor would be a good fit in Denver. Also, best-case & worst-case scenarios for the Broncos in the 2018 NFL Draft.

LISTEN TO HOUR TWO HERE!!!

The fellas roll through Dianna Russini’s report on twitter about a possible Talib trade with the San Francisco 49ers. Big Al says that due to taxes, Kirk Cousins to Minnesota is now a virtual lock, and Big Sexy notes that Cousins bought a house in Michigan in 2017. Al wonders if three million dollars saved should matter to Cousins. DMac is not a fan of current Broncos players recruiting free agents in the offseason, and places a call to the Broncos to find out if there is a limit to how much recruiting they allow the players on the roster to do. Big Al hears audio from Von Miller on First Take about what adding Kirk Cousins can do for an NFL team, and DMac imagines if The Fan recruited like Von Miller has been. DMac says Von is trying to sound like a leader, but may be trying too hard. Big Al says the Broncos are coming off two of the most solidified team captains they’ve ever had in Manning & Ware, and asks DMac how Denver can replace DT & Talib as captains. Also, Al says it feels like the team never belonged to John Elway. Al says it gets weird when your agent is in town like Trevor Siemian’s currently is, and the guys talk about the Buffs’ recruiting tools during the pro-day process. Also, what QB Denver would develop if they paid Cousins or Keenum.

Also, the Bennett brothers are on the move, and Gary Kubiak is comfortable with what he knows at QB. Mark Schlereth joins the show to say it all depends on what the Broncos want to spend on a quarterback, and there is currently no consensus No 1 overall QB in the draft this year. Stink says QBs can’t take a beating like Trevor Siemian did last season, and he’s worried about Josh Rosen’s slight frame. Also, Mark prepares for his bench press challenge for the American Heart Association. Listen to the interview HERE! DMac asks Al about the Nuggets chances at home tonight against LeBron & the Cavs, as well as Tad Boyle’s bad injury in the Buffs big win. Also, debate on Denver spending both a top draft pick & big free agent money on their QB position. The guys wrap up the show talking about Peyton Manning’s possible future as a broadcaster, and if NBC would lock Peyton down or if FOX would find a way to get Peyton & Mike Tirico on the same broadcast team.
