Report: Vikings set to offer Cousins 3-year, $91M, fully-guaranteed deal

While the destination Kirk Cousins will land this offseason has yet to be hashed out, one report has shined the light on what the soon-to-be former Washington Redskins quarterback could fetch in free agency.

Chris Cooley, co-host of the “Cooley and Kevin” program on The Team 980 in Washington, D.C., reported on Monday that the Vikings have an offer on the table for Cousins of three-years, $93 million with the entire deal fully guaranteed.

“I heard — not from anyone in the Redskins and not from anyone in Kirk Cousins camp, from another agent — was $31 million a year for three years in fully guaranteed money,” said Cooley, who played for Washington until 2012.

The information comes amid a report from CBS Sports NFL reporter Jason La Canfora, who tweeted Sunday that the “Cousins derby” would likely come down to the Vikings or New York Jets.

However, reports of the list of potential landing spots for Cousins has varied from report to report in the last week, with KUSA-TV’s Mike Klis reporting the Broncos are “very much in” while SportsNet New York’s Ralph Vacchiano reporting the Jets fear the quarterback’s already headed to Minneapolis.
