The Drive with Big Al & DMac LIVE in studio! Al tells Dmac it’s rare to draft a QB early & still have success, and throws out Lamar Jackson as a name to watch as the 2018 NFL Draft approaches. Also, Al says he’d have a great show with No. 7 as co-host & DMac as producer.

DMac begins the show by saying he can’t believe Atwater is not a finalist for the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and it’s been a pleasure getting to know him. Al says Steve Atwater played the game the right way, and there’s a reason they called him the silent assassin. Al says Atwater getting left out is a perfect example of how the Broncos get hated on when it comes to the HOF, and DMac is not excited about the weather in Minneapolis. The guys talk about TJ Ward’s arrest for missing a court appearance, and the Denver Broncos coaching staff’s rare opportunity to coach The North in the 2018 Senior Bowl. Also, the Avs’ big overtime win last night and Big Al’s frustration with the Broncos as an option for Hard Knocks. Al tells Dmac it’s rare to draft a QB early & still have success, and throws out Lamar Jackson as a name to watch as the 2018 NFL Draft approaches.

DMac says Rosen & Darnold are the best QBs heading into the 2018 NFL Draft, and the Broncos may be better off going with a lineman in the first round like McGlinchey. DMac says Kirk Cousins has already wiped his twitter clean of Redskins affiliation, and Jay Gruden isn’t sure Cousins can get Washington over the 7-9 hump. All this reminds Al of Von Miller’s franchise tag disaster. Al & DMac decide if the Broncos can bridge the gap to get Kirk Cousins or Eli Manning to Denver, and Al says there are some franchises willing to blow up the whole team in order to land a superstar QB. DMac is not congratulating the Bills just yet, and Big Al says the Jags need to be well-aware of Tyrod Taylor’s unique skill-set. Also, thoughts on Chad Kelly making the team & taking care of the offensive line in the NFL Draft, Free Agency, and via trade.

Al tells DMac what happens if Josh Allen doesn’t play in the Senior Bowl, and the guys are excited about Josh Rosen declaring for the NFL Draft. Al gives his story about Shanahan giving him business advice, and says John Elway is cold-blooded. Also, big breaking news about the Broncos coaching staff, Sean Kugler & the top two QB prospects Rosen & Darnold declaring for the 2018 NFL Draft. The boys start up a mini mock draft, and Big Al takes Lamar Jackson at No. 5 overall. DMac wants to know what happens with Baker Mayfield, and asks Al how the Broncos could pass on a talent like that. The Total Beverage text line lights up about Baker Mayfield, and Al can’t believe Jon Gruden isn’t committing to being the Head Coach of the Oakland Raiders. Also, DMac says the Titans may be on a wacky coaching search.
