The Drive with DMac & Chad Brown LIVE in studio! DMac asks Chad how interested the Broncos should be in Josh Allen, and if Paxton’s level of competition is more fit for a 7v7 league. DMac says Paxton could play, but doesn’t really want to, and Bill Musgrave comes to Paxton’s defense.

DMac tells Chad Brown that Paxton is a good kid, and the guys discuss Broncos GM John Elway & Matt Russell attending the Potato Bowl today in Boise to watch Josh Allen smash Central Michigan. In the Big 3 @ 3:30, DMac asks Chad how interested the Broncos should be in Josh Allen, and if Paxton’s level of competition is more fit for a 7v7 league. Also, Chad prepares for the Senior Bowl and the guys guess at what fans will see out of Baker Mayfield. The boys talk about Dick Enberg’s call of the ’91 Orange Bowl, and Chad Brown’s nearly-missed tackle on ‘Rocket’ Ismail. Also, DMac’s story about being banned from the Rockies press box after his post about Dick Enberg’s bathroom use.

DMac asks Chad if the Broncos were a playoff team, would things be handled any differently than they are now. Chad says there is work to be done, but things are different now, and the players will receive Christmas off. DMac says Paxton could play, but doesn’t really want to, and Bill Musgrave comes to Paxton’s defense. Chad wonders if the Broncos could limp through a game with Paxton as the backup, and says things are being handled differently because Denver is already out of it. DMac tells Chad the strength & conditioning coach is on the hot-seat, and Chad says that’s how it works when you have so many players on IR. DMac says the Broncos not announcing a starter is a bit of gamesmanship, and asks Chad if it matters to the Redskins or gives Denver a competitive advantage. Bill Musgrave says he’s a big fan of Paxton Lynch & is anxious to get Paxton back out there after a tough injury. DMac says Musgrave & Joseph are in an impossible position.

Emmanuel Sanders hasn’t practiced all week, and DMac wonders why the Broncos haven’t put him on IR. C.J. Anderson is gunning for 1,000 yards, and DMac says he understands why CJ keeps suiting up to achieve his goal. The guys laugh about Elway & Russell going to the Potato Bowl to watch Josh Allen while Paxton limps through practice at Dove Valley. The guys decide if Denver can get anything for Paxton Lynch, and if any of the QB prospects heading into the ’18 NFL Draft are worth giving a look in year one. Chad says Alex Smith is just good enough to tease you & get you beat in the playoffs, and DMac says that’s what Denver will be stuck with. In the King Soopers Fan Football Pick ‘Em, Chad notes the uncertainty at QB for Denver should be just enough to get them beat, and DMac says no one wants to win this game. DMac says you’d be shocked at all the new players on the Broncos depth chart this week, and Chad says you can still win with the right mentality.
