The Drive with Big Al & DMac LIVE in studio! Denver7 Broncos Insider Troy Renck joins the show to talk about the ‘best of’ from Denver’s season so far, and if we were dealing with a bit of ‘fool’s gold’ this year. Troy says this year has become an audition for those trying to be on the team going forward, and his focus is on the offensive line and finding our next quarterback.

DMac asks Bill Musgrave about Rich Gannon’s comments on Paxton, and Al tells DMac DeAngelo Henderson hasn’t seen the field because Denver is still in the playoff hunt. DMac tries to figure out if Bill Musgrave is mean or nice. DMac explains why winning is no longer important to the Broncos, and Big Al is excited about Tiger all over again after his first-round performance at the Hero World Challenge. Mason Rudolph beats out Baker Mayfield for the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm, and the guys decide where the Denver Broncos would be if Adam Gase was the coach. Also, Al says with Herm Edwards it’s not about the money, it’s about the fit.

Big Al mentions the stretch to get Garett Bolles in the first round, and the guys talk about what Denver should do with their first pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. The guys hear from Joe Woods about the Aqib Talib fight, and Al thinks the whole thing was a bad look for the NFL. Al & DMac agree Talib needs to know when to walk away & let it go. DMac wants to know who will be back next year, and why we haven’t given Jamaal Charles & Andy Janovich more touches. The guys predict what will happen if Peko & Wolfe don’t suit up, and Al says the Broncos are always bringing the wrong tools to the wrong job. Big Al asks DMac as GM of the Denver Broncos, what his first move would have been that differentiated from John Elway’s decisions, and DMac says he would have given Paxton all the reps. The guys agree Trevor Siemian’s ceiling is being a premier backup, and Denver might have wasted too much time with Trevor. Denver’s depth is tested, and DMac tries out as the new terminal voice at DIA. Also, Big Al says John Elway’s comment about the team being soft fractured the franchise, and DMac finds out from Broncos fans what the worst moment of the year was for the Denver Broncos.
