The Drive with DMac & Pritch LIVE in studio! Jake Plummer joins the show and is in good spirits about the Broncos season. Jake mentions the Realm of Caring and how we can battle life-threatening illness & epileptic seizures through oils & medications. Jake says Brock showed he can push the ball down the field & make tough throws, but it’s hard for anyone to survive out there right now. Denver7 Insider Troy Renck joins the show to talk about the dead giveaways of a bad team, like one thing going wrong, then another.
DMac talks about Emmanuel Sanders fielding punts, and says there is nobody on the team with better hands than Emmanuel. Pritch wonders if Sanders can be like Antonio Brown, and the guys identify Sanders as the Broncos’ biggest playmaker. DMac and Pritch talk Hall of Famers and how they got there. Pritch decides if calling for a fair catch is always the right thing to do, and if Alabama is better than Auburn. Jake says the hardest thing to do when you’re losing is just go out and play ball, but the guys will respond to spunk and leadership, not mediocre play and energy. Jake says it will be hard for VJ as a former player, and five-game losing streaks are never easy to overcome. Also, Pritch asks Jake about red zone situations, and Jake says he’s not seeing broken tackles, lucky bounces or Demaryius being explosive like he was in the past. Listen to the interview HERE!
DMac asks Pritch if he cares about the coaches, and if the players care about someone they’ve never played for before. Denver7 Insider Troy Renck joins the show to talk about the dead giveaways of a bad team, like one thing going wrong, then another. Troy says teams have no reason to drop back and pass, and that’s limiting the skills of Von Miller, Shane Ray, Aqib Talib & Chris Harris Jr. Troy thinks it will be a while before Emmanuel Sanders’ ankle is right, and hopes Jordan Taylor can be trusted for the time-being. Troy tells Pritch & DMac he wants to see the sweater stay together when one thread comes loose, and says Denver must remain headstrong & resilient when put in trying situations. Listen to the interview HERE!
DMac says this is it, and the Broncos just have to make playoffs and then we can make some noise. Denver is not mathematically out of it, and a win against the Bengals would go a long way in kick-starting the Broncos’ season. DMac tells Pritch it will be over if we lose to Cincy, and Pritch runs through potential AFC playoff teams & who Denver could take out. Also, the guys play a game of glass-half-full vs. glass-half-empty & mention teams of the past that have made unlikely playoff runs. The guys talk King Soopers Fan Football Pick ‘Em, and DMac agrees with Pritch that on the surface, Tennessee vs Pittsburgh looks like a good matchup. DMac proposes moving the Super Bowl back a little, and giving people a day off the following Monday, and adding a BYE week to the NFL regular season.
