After Sunday’s shellacking in Philadelphia, Denver Broncos head coach Vance Joseph said on a decision to keep quarterback Brock Osweiler under center this weekend against the New England Patriots would need to be evaluated.

And despite tossing two interceptions to his one touchdown against the Eagles for a quarterback rating of 53.4, Osweiler looks to have been given a mulligan.

Osweiler will get a shot to quarterback the Broncos as they welcome in the Patriots to Sports Authority Field at Mile High on Sunday, Joseph said on Monday.

When asked after the game if he wanted to continue starting at quarterback, Osweiler said “Absolutely.

“I think every player in the National Football League plays this game to be the starter, to contribute to his team, and help their football team win games. So, I would love to be the starter of this football team,” Osweiler said.

“I can promise you that this game is not going to discourage me. I’m going to work harder than ever to clean up these problems and get us back in the win column.”

Osweiler replaced struggling starter Trevor Siemian on Sunday after the third-year quarterback accounted for three of five turnovers against the Kansas City Chiefs.
