The Drive with Big Al & DMac LIVE! Elijah Wilkinson’s brother Ed calls in to defend Elijah, and say that he should be starting over Menelik Watson. Big Al puts DMac in a race against Emmanuel Sanders. Mike Pritchard joins the show and Al says it’s important to put points on the board when playing against tough competition like Philadelphia.
The guys say why wouldn’t we feel optimistic about the Broncos. DMac asks Big Al what expression he’d like to use when describing the Broncos last game, and the guys agree the running game was fine. Brock is shutting his mouth and going along with things, and Al says he would never help anyone with their position takeover. DMac says Brock’s current deal is one of the best of all-time, and Big Al puts DMac in a race against Emmanuel Sanders. In the Big 3 @ 3:30, the guys talk about the Bills dropping one to the New York Jets on Thursday Night Football, and Big Al asks DMac is he knew Matt Forte was still an effective runner, along with the rest of the NYJ running game. DMac finds out what Al’s keys to a Broncos victory are, and the fellas discuss who Al considers tall.
In Football @ 4:00, Big Al questions if Tom Savage can keep what Deshaun Watson had going, and DMac makes the argument there will be no difference in Trevor & Brock. Al thinks Trevor is a better athlete than Brock, and has a quicker release. Al says Chad Kelly can make it as a reserve, but he is excited about Brock Osweiler. The guys decide if Denver can go for it without making mistakes, and DMac wonders if Von Miller can still be ‘The Vonster.’ Big Al says Shane Ray plays at a different speed, and is helping playmakers like Miller & Barrett shine. Elijah Wilkinson’s brother Ed calls in to defend Elijah, and say that he should be starting over Menelik Watson. DMac tries to think of the best athletes to ever come out of UMass. Big Al tells DMac about being required to wear suits on long trips, and the two decide if being comfortable on the plane makes a difference during the week.
Al & DMac get the Friday Fire-Up @ 5:00 started! Big Al takes the Broncos and the guys take calls on the Brock Osweiler experience the second time around. Mike Pritchard joins the show and Al says it’s important to put points on the board when playing against tough competition like Philadelphia. Big Al says he wants to see the Broncos players show that they want to be there, and Pritch points out that when Al was playing, his teams found a way to unlock the extra effort. Joe Woods gives his plan for defending Zach Ertz, and the guys make their NFL Week 9 picks, along with the Broncos game, with Pritch & try to avoid the Shame Game.
