Five Colorado sports-themed Halloween costumes

Yes, Broncos Country will be attentively focused upon Monday Night Football out in Kansas City. But don’t let it slip your mind that Tuesday is Halloween, and “Schlereth & Evans” is throwing a party.
Stink and Mike are taking over Sam’s No. 3 in Aurora (Havana Street and Parker Road) for a spooky edition of the “Schlereth & Evans Breakfast Club.”
Stop by and watch the guys break down the Broncos and Chiefs, grab some free grub (while supplies last), and dress in your Halloween best, as we’re giving away prizes for the top costumes.
Don’t have anything to wear? Well, here are some easy, last-minute Colorado sports-themed costumes:
Charlie Blackmon
This one requires just a couple of quick purchases to turn yourself into the mullet-wearing, beard-growing All-Star outfield from the Colorado Rockies.
You’ll need a fake beard of sizable length, a mullet wig, a Rockies hat and possibly other gear, and optional sunglasses.
And perhaps a replica National League MVP trophy? (Fingers crossed).
Fake Andy Reid
This one’s a little bit harder to pull off for the Broncos die-hards, but it’s especially worth it if Denver escapes Kansas City with a win Monday.
You’ll need some reading glasses, a Chiefs hat, a fake walrus-style mustache, and a large red t-shirt or hoodie.
A stopwatch to illustrate Reid’s clock management woes is a plus, but optional.
‘Stinkin’ Good’ Mark Schlereth
This costume will require a little bit of effort but trust us, it’ll pay off paying tribute to Mr. Schlereth.
First, buy a tub of Mark’s Stinkin’ Good Green Chile and apply generously to any and all food items within sight.
Next, you’ll need a 64-ounce jug of Westrock Coffee. Also, if you can find yourself in a Clubhouse Gear shirt (preferably a “Cleats on the Grass”) along with a trio of Super Bowl rings, even better.
Lastly, you’ll need an inordinate amount of muscles for your age. Serious, Stink. How are you still that strong?
Paxton the Pirate
Our favorite backup’s backup, this costume can easily be found at any party shop or thrift store.
You’ll need an eye patch, a pirate hat, and a Broncos jersey or shirt.
For full authenticity, learn how to impersonate Pirate DeHuff. Argh!
BabyBjorn Stokley
A personal favorite of the “Schlereth & Evans” program, this might take a little more time to construct.
You’ll need a baby carrier or BabyBjorn of some kind, a realistically sized baby doll, a printer to create a Brandon Stokley face, and tape and scissors to apply the face to the baby.
For the best results, dress as No. 18 and wear the baby carrier. I mean, he is Stokley’s best friend and all.
