The Drive Round Table with DMac & Troy Renck LIVE from Blake Street Tavern! Jenny Cavnar of AT&T SportsNet joins the show, and DMac tells her his son will be at the Diamondbacks game in a purple suit. Patrick Saunders joins the show to give his thoughts on moving CarGo to the 3-hole, and the importance of pressuring Greinke early. Saunders says CarGo is in a good place right now, and Nolan has never hit well against Greinke.

Jenny Cavnar of AT&T SportsNet joins the show, and DMac tells her his son will be at the Diamondbacks game in a purple suit. Jenny says the purple turnout should be nice in Arizona, and Troy Renck expects thousands of Rockies fans to be at the closed up Chase Field tonight. Jenny says Chase Field is a familiar environment for the Rockies, and the players likely know the names of the security guards. Also, Renck says the Rockies don’t look at Greinke as an ‘Ace’ & have legit starting pitching depth for the first time in a long time. Patrick Saunders joins the show to give his thoughts on moving CarGo to the 3-hole, and the importance of pressuring Greinke early. Saunders says CarGo is in a good place right now, and Nolan has never hit well against Greinke. Saunders says expect Chris Rusin & Tyler Anderson for long relief, and the Rockies’ one-night roster tonight could be completely different for the Dodgers series coming up. Historic Rockies moments of ’17 are remembered, including Nolan Arenado’s Father’s Day walk-off cycle, and Kyle Freeland’s near no-no. Jenny mentions how fun it’s been watching Charlie Blackmon’s production from the leadoff spot, and gives props to Walt Weiss for setting the base layer. Troy says it’s hard to be a good manager when your bullpen stinks. Mike Evans & Zach Bye join the show to talk about the feeling Colorado Rockies fans get when the Rockies start playing well, and what will happen to downtown Denver with Rocktober in full effect. Troy Renck says he’s excited about tonight’s lineup, but in order for the Rockies to win, it all starts with pitching. The guys have some notes on how Carlos Gonzalez was able to turn things around, and Troy tells everyone when we will know Zack Greinke is on & forcing weak swings. Mike Evans doesn’t want the Rockies to go to the bullpen too early, and DMac asks everyone who the Rockies would go to if Gray struggles. Troy mentions that Holland has been better lately, and his slider seemed to return in September.

DMac wants to know just who the Rockies have in Greg Holland, and Troy fears that Holland hit a wall after too many saves to begin the year following Tommy John surgery. Adam Ottavino isn’t on the roster, so Bud Black must believe in Holland. DMac says beware of Tauchman & Tapia for base-stealing if the Rockies need a bag, and Renck also mentions Amarista. Troy is still loving the lineup against Greinke, and thinks Parra can pester Greinke a bit & is magnificent in the outfield. The guys note that Mark Reynolds knows the park & the Rockies need his power in the lineup. Also, Evans says CarGo is finally feeling good about himself. Evans mentions athletic shortstops like Story & Seager changing the game, and the guys get into the beef between Pat Neshek & Zack Greinke. Zach Bye peels back the layers, pointing out Greinke as socially awkward & Neshek being a bit of a brat. The guys enjoy the possibility of Colorado taking on the Dodgers if they can take down Arizona, and debate which MLB team is set up to win the World Series in ’17.
