The Drive with Big Al & DMac LIVE from Mile High Station!  Adam Schefter joins the show. Marshawn Lynch looked like he was in full beast mode while running over the Titans over the weekend, and Adam says that’s the way it goes. Kevin Acee joins the show to tell the guys it’s a process with the L.A. Chargers, and the broncos are historically more successful. Brian Griese joins the show, and DMac says it was refreshing to hear Griese ask Elway about the Paxton Lynch pick during preseason. Troy Renck joins the show to say weather is not going to hurt the Broncos, and good for Brandon McManus as he gets paid to stick around Denver.

LISTEN TO HOUR ONE HERE!!!

DMac can already feel the doom & gloom setting in, as he asks Al if this game against the Chargers is a must-win. Al says the Chargers present problems, and a loss to Rivers hurts more than a loss to the Cowboys. Al says Jacksonville looks as good defensively as some of the best ever, and the Jags had the best opening-day defense Al has ever seen. Adam Schefter joins the show. Marshawn Lynch looked like he was in full beast mode while running over the Titans over the weekend, and Adam says that’s the way it goes. To be the best, the Broncos are going to have to beat the best, and Schefter talks about eating health cookies with Rex Ryan. Adam says you’re ready to play or you’re not, and either you do it or you don’t. Also, Adam says this should be a wonderful matchup between VJ & Anthony Lynn. Listen to the interview HERE! Kevin Acee joins the show to tell the guys it’s a process with the L.A. Chargers, and the broncos are historically more successful. Kevin says if it’s costing the city money, the old stadium will probably be torn down. DMac asks Kevin about Philip Rivers’ new vehicle, and Al wants to find out what Kevin knows that nobody else does about the Chargers. Also, why the fans would enjoy hate-watching their team for one season. Listen to the interview HERE! Al tells DMac his big concern is L.A.’s tight ends, and DMac touches on the roster moves the Broncos made today, including an extension for McManus. Big Al is expecting a big day for the Chargers offense if Rivers protects the football, and asks DMac if the Broncos pass-rush is still truly special. DMac says keep an eye on Shelby Harris & Derek Wolfe tonight to help out Miller.

LISTEN TO HOUR TWO HERE!!!

Al says this game is not a must-win, but the Broncos can’t afford to drop another divisional game. DMac says the Broncos should cruise to victory, and Al says Brandon Mebane, Joey Bosa & Philip Rivers are no joke. DMac says everyone on the coaching staff would have stuck around if Kubiak stayed, and Al tells DMac McCoy is playing checkers while Andy Reid & Co. are playing chess. Al makes the claim that all successful Broncos QBs are old like Eli Manning & he can’t wait until Eli is in a Broncos uniform. Also, DMac says we all miss Kyle Sloter. Al is the only one on The Fan’s staff picking the Chargers, and DMac wants everyone to calm down about the must-win mentality. DMac says we are going to have a blast tonight, and he hopes everyone is on-board, and Al reminds him the Broncos have the worst QB in the AFC West. Brian Griese joins the show, and DMac says it was refreshing to hear Griese ask Elway about the Paxton Lynch pick during preseason. Al has Griese rank the QBs in the AFC West, and Griese takes Siemian over Rivers. Griese says Siemian can’t be throwing the ball from a fox-hole, and can’t be accurate if he’s hurt. Griese wants to make sure Al has not fallen in love again with Brock Osweiler, and says the Broncos now know just who Brock is as a starting QB. Listen to the interview HERE!

LISTEN TO HOUR THREE HERE!!!

DMac asks Al if there’s been a passing of the torch in the NFL, and notes Eric Berry’s injury as proof. Al says Antonio Gates if no longer the Chargers’ best TE, and wonders what the Broncos plan to do against TEs with size. DMac says it will be nice to see C.J. Anderson back, despite the question marks on offensive line. Troy Renck joins the show to say weather is not going to hurt the Broncos, and good for Brandon McManus as he gets paid to stick around Denver. DMac asks Troy about the Broncos cutting Kyle Peko & moving forward with Tyrique Jarrett, and Troy says the focus is more on Gotsis & Wolfe to play well. Listen to the interview HERE! Also, Broncos injury report & inactives for tonight’s game against the Chargers, including Brendan Langley being active & Jordan Taylor listed as an inactive. DMac says Denver doesn’t have confidence in their defensive line, or Max Garcia at the LG position.

LISTEN TO HOUR FOUR HERE!!!

DMac says expect Leonard Fournette’s career to be much shorter than Christian McCaffrey’s, purely due to the volume of carries Fournette figures to get in his first two years in the NFL. Also, Cecil says Jamaal Charles needs to be used as a third WR. Big Al joins the show with an update from the crowd LIVE from Mile High Station! DMac asks Al what the fans are cooking in the parking lot, and Big Al says the energy of the game is undeniable. DMac asks Cecil if there will be packages installed for Donald Stephenson & Jamal Carter, and if LGs switch off. Al explains what happens when dealing with NFL powerhouses, and what it’s like going through a stadium without many fans of the team around. The guys debate if the San Diego fans feel betrayed now that the Chargers have relocated to Los Angeles. Big Al says it’s safe to say Mike Tomlin has become a good coach, and it’s all about what you do with the opportunities you’ve been given. Also, Big Al & DMac wrap with their King Soopers Fan pick ‘em & Big Sexy runs down the winners & losers from Week 1.
