Broncos trade Sambrailo to Falcons for 2018 5th-rounder

The first of the Denver Broncos roster moves came down Friday morning, as the club announced it had traded offensive lineman Ty Sambrailo to the Atlanta Falcons.
As ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter first reported, the Broncos will pick up a 2018 fifth-round draft pick in exchange for Sambrailo, who had been seen by some as possible roster cutdown victim.

Sambrailo, the Broncos second-round pick (59th overall) in the 2015 NFL Draft, started seven games for Denver in two seasons, playing in a total of 13.
The Colorado State University product started right off the bat his rookie season, but was sidelined for the remainder of the season after just three games with a torn labrum in his left shoulder.
In 2016, a fully-healthy Sambrailo figured to make a comeback before suffering a hyperextended right elbow early in training camp.
Ahead of the 2017 draft, general manager John Elway indicated that Sambrailo could be an option at left tackle when asked if there was a player at the position that they liked in the first round.
“We have a left tackle on our team. Ty Sambrailo played left tackle for us two years ago and was playing very well, but hasn’t been able to stay healthy,” Elway said in April. “That’s always an option for us.”
Just a few days later, Elway and the Broncos selected Garett Bolles, who head coach Vance Joseph named the starter last week, 20th overall.
