The Drive with Big Al & DMac LIVE in studio! Pat Bowlen misses out on the NFL Hall of Fame & the guys preview McGregor vs. Mayweather, as well as Denver vs. Green Bay on Saturday. Mike Pritchard joins the show to talk about the fight between Mayweather & McGregor, and says it’s like the Super Bowl wrapped up in a weekend. Big Al asks Pritch how much a ticket would cost, and Mike mentions how expensive a room would be for the weekend. Brendan Schaub joins the show to catch up & preview the Mayweather vs. McGregor fight. Schaub mentions Joe Rogan as a mentor, and says he’s not scared of running with the big dogs.

The guys test out the food that will be available at Fan Football Fest ’17 & tell the listeners how they can get tickets. Big Al says the disrespect continues with Pat Bowlen not getting into the Hall of Fame, and runs through the list of Broncos Ring of Famers that should be in. Johnny Bowlen is offered up as a reason Pat Bowlen did not get into the NFL Hall of Fame, and Al throws out some of the best Broncos that may never get their name called. Dmac debates with Al why the Packers should or shouldn’t play Aaron Rodgers in the preseason, and Al wonders if Kalif Raymond or anyone else can make the roster simply by making big plays on Saturday against the Packers. Dmac hints that Conor McGregor might get disqualified in his boxing match against Floyd Mayweather, and explains to Al why this event is so popular. Big Al says gambling plays a big part in why NFL football is so popular, and it’s not just boxing that gets love from the addiction to gambling. Also, a Colorado cheerleading coach leans on his students.

DMac says Fullback is a specialty position, and Al is quick to point out that FB ensures the health & effectiveness of your RB. Al thinks Floyd Mayweather might be the best athlete he’s ever seen, and a caller asks why the Broncos would go with Virgil Green & Bennie Fowler if they can’t be game-changers. The idea of a petition to get Pat Bowlen & Steve Atwater into the NFL Hall of Fame is thrown out, and the Broncos sign DE Jimmy Bean. DMac says the Broncos could always use depth, and Al says big guys are hard to find. Mike Pritchard joins the show to talk about the fight between Mayweather & McGregor, and says it’s like the Super Bowl wrapped up in a weekend. Big Al asks Pritch how much a ticket would cost, and Mike mentions how expensive a room would be for the weekend. DMac asks Pritch what he thinks of the rivalry between CU and CSU, and Pritch says there’s not much of a rivalry between the two. The guys talk college football, and determine if Packers fans are upset with Aaron Rodgers’ family situation. Big time baseball towns in Colorado are discussed, and DMac gives no love to Colorado Springs. The Broncos run defense comes into question, and Denver could see a heavy dosage of Aaron Rodgers & Martellus Bennett on Saturday. Al says GB’s run game is real with Rodgers at the helm. DMac quickly reminds Al of all the Broncos that will miss the game, and tells Broncos fans not to panic. Miguel Cabrera gets suspended for seven games after fighting with Gary Sanchez, and DMac asks Al if he’s ever taken a test without studying first, or over-prepared before like Rodgers or Manning. Brendan Schaub joins the show to catch up & preview the Mayweather vs. McGregor fight. Schaub mentions Joe Rogan as a mentor, and says he’s not scared of running with the big dogs. Schaub mentions all the good things that come with NFL football, but says CTE is a serious issue. Schaub says the uneducated are picking Mayweather, and McGregor has a shot because Floyd doesn’t know what to expect when he fights Conor.
