Paxton Must Move Mountains: Stokley & Zach
Watch: Previewing the Broncos' corners | Orange and Blue Today | 29 mins
Stokley & Zach 08/07/2017 – The guys are in studio as day 10 of Training Camp wraps up. The quarterback competition has been handled differently than any other battles on the Broncos depth chart. Fan Broncos Insider, Cecil Lammey joins the guys to give his take on day 10 of Training Camp ’17.
Hour one on Monday kicks off with the guys agreeing that Trevor Siemian will give the Broncos the best chance to beat the Chargers week one. The guys also talk about how Paxton must move mountains in games in order to win the starting job. Vance Joseph was at the podium and the guys have the audio. Vance started off by saying Trevor Siemian will be the starter against the Bears and Paxton Lynch will start against the 49ers. The guys dive into the offensive line competition and Jamaal Charles’ role.
The offensive line looks like it is a lot better during training camp ’17 according to Brandon Stokley. Brandon thinks it is pretty hard to be worse than the 2016 offensive line. The right tackle spot is still in question according to Brandon. Zach says that Demarcus Walker sticks out a lot on the defensive side with Shane Ray and Shaq Barrett out, he could solidify a spot on the team. Zach goes out on a limb with a “diamond in the rough” pick, Stevan Ridley. Brandon says to pump the brakes on the former New England running back.
Stoke’s star of the day on day ten was defensive lineman Derek Wolfe. Stoke says that the front line on defense looked like an entirely different team. Zach asks Stoke if he is worried about the returning and new players on the offense. Fan Broncos Insider, Cecil Lammey is live in studio with the guys. Cecil jumps right into the quarterback competition after day ten. That interview is right HERE
