The Drive with Big Al & DMac LIVE in studio! Earl Boykins joins the show to compare the ’17 MLB All-Star Game to the Pro Bowl and the NBA ASG. Floyd Mayweather & Conor McGregor hold their presser, and the guys are here to break down some of their comments. Also, the guys preview the MLB All-Star Game tonight on THE FAN.
DMac clearly prefers the ’17 MLB Home Run Derby over the NBA All-Star & NFL Pro Bowl festivities. Earl Boykins joins the show to talk about how to make things more even across the formats. Durant & Co. still reign supreme, but Big Al asks Earl who in the Western Conference can push the Warriors this year. Charlie Blackmon holds his own in the first round against Cody Bellinger, and DMac is hopeful this doesn’t mess up his swing for the remainder of the season.
Big Al tells DMac Vance Joseph was hired to start Paxton Lynch, and the guys debate some circumstances that may pop up throughout the year. DMac wonders who should have organized the passing camp, and Big Al says how many games Paxton Lynch will start. Troy Renck joins the show to tell the guys just how big Aaron Judge is, bigger than Gronk, and compares to Frank (The Big Hurt) Thomas. Troy says Judge is built like a Greek God, too bad the Yankees don’t get much attention. Troy thinks Mike Trout is still the best in the game, and Judge played college ball at Fresno St. with raw power. Al says Bryce Harper’s next deal will have kids getting the bat going, and Aaron Judge mystifies him. Charlie Blackmon trends up for DMac, and Floyd Mayweather & his IRS troubles trend down.
