The Drive with Big Al & DMac LIVE in studio! Earl Boykins joins the show to break down Ice Cube’s Big 3 tournament, Chris Paul to Houston and the Phil Jackson mutual parting of ways with New York. The Rockies continue to slump, and Big Al & DMac take some calls on if they can limp into the All-Star break.
Al says he has over 150 family members on Facebook, and DMac wishes John Elway a happy birthday. The Rockies are hanging on by a razor’s edge, and DMac worries about their grip on the Wild Card. DMac asks the listeners if this is the Rockies talk they were starving for, and Big Al says the Rockies flower has wilted. Also, changing the game to make it more entertaining & who will be coaching Earl Boykins’ team.
Big Al mentions the 7-on-7 passing league that was on last night. DMac talks about Clinton Portis’ current situation, and story of going broke & contemplating murdering his financial adviser. Big Al talks about ESPN’s 30-for-30 and what to do with your first check from the NFL. Also, DMac says the Rockies are having serious problems at the end of games.
Headed for the All-Star break, the Rockies are nearly in a free-fall, and Big Al & DMac debate whether they have enough to hang on. Big Al says the Rockies’ run production has been bad of late, and DMac talks about Nolan Arenado’s dive as possibly the play of the year. Also, the guys debate who the greatest NY Giants QB of all-time was, and Tim Tebow hits another HR to opposite field.
