The Drive with Chad Brown & DMac LIVE in studio! DMac is hype about the Spelling Bee, and says he was spellbound by it last night over Game 1 of the NBA Finals after the game got out of hand with eight minutes to go in the 4th at Oracle Arena. Will Parks seems like a fun guy, but Cecil Lammey reminds everyone this is the stuff that gets you cut as a late-round draft pick. Patrick Saunders joins the show to say without Greg Holland, the Rockies would be in a similar position to last year, with no back-end.
Chad has had enough of the Will Parks saga this week, and wouldn’t mind seeing Vance Joseph cut him, despite Joseph’s history with some big-name knuckleheads. Jail time for those keeping their mouths shut in the Penn St. Joe Paterno case, and less money for Chris Paul if he wants to join a NBA super-team outside of Los Angeles. Also, Tiger Woods gets support from unlikely places, and the guys listen to some audio from his arrest in Florida.
Chad wonders why threatening a woman isn’t taken more seriously by Broncos fans than shooting video of Paxton’s bad balls, and the guys run through the NY Jets depth chart as Chad gets set to join them on a coaching internship. Will Parks seems like a fun guy, but Cecil Lammey reminds everyone this is the stuff that gets you cut as a late-round draft pick. Also, Paxton needs to be backup, as well as starter-ready if he wants to make it in the NFL according to Lammey. Listen to the interview HERE! DMac tells Chad a manager needs to build a personal connection with the players, and the Broncos need to develop what they’re seeing out at Dove Valley. DMac is unsure about the lack of reps the Broncos starting QB is getting compared to other teams around the league, and says the No Fly Zone barely needs OTAs with all their unbelievable experience. Also, Chad is disappointed with the news about Dennis Pitta coming out of Ravens camp, and isn’t surprised about the KC Chiefs letting go of Jeremy Maclin.
