The Drive with Big Al & DMac LIVE in studio! From Plymouth Rock to the Coliseum, DMac is still not sure what they’re doing about the greatest & dumbest monuments in the world. Cavs and Warriors meet for the first game of the ’17 NBA Finals & the guys pick their teams. Also, DMac is still on a mission to convince Al just because Paxton was drafted high, doesn’t mean he’s the guy.
The Four Corners Monument goes up against Casa Bonita in the battle of dull Colorado monuments. Fat NFL players like Dontari Poe do their best to make weight, and in turn make bank if they meet particular contract incentives. DMac discusses the legacy of LeBron James if he’s able to pull off a NBA Finals ’17 victory for the ages against Kevin Durant and the new-look Warriors, and Big Al says if he’s able to do it, LeBron could go down as the greatest player of all-time ahead of even Michael Jordan.
Closers in the NFL are in high demand, and DMac is concerned Trevor Siemian is not one of them. Big Al says he knows exactly the type of person that roots for Trevor, and tells DMac how many teams in the NFL are currently trying to win a Super Bowl with the same formula as the defensive-minded Denver Broncos.
The guys compare how hard it can be to get impact reps in the NFL compared to NBA youngsters getting playing time. Chris Harris Jr. says the Broncos never lack energy on the defensive side due to the personalities, and E Sanders & the offense are still searching for the juice. Big Al says the Patriots coaches are lucky to have Tom Brady, and the Rockies knock off the Mariners 6-3 on the road with Greg Holland latching down his MLB-best 20th save of the season. Also, the latest on Will Parks facing misdemeanor domestic violence charges following his arrest on March 31st in Adams County.
