The Drive with Big Al and DMac LIVE in studio on this fiery Wednesday as a tanker truck blew a tire and hit the center divide of the highway on I-25 and burst into flames, closing the highway for an extended period of time. We sent our own, Strawberry Man to the scene to broadcast live on Facebook. Broncos Safety Will Parks Snapchatted a couple videos of Paxton Lynch throwing errant throws during practice. The Big Three brings in Earl Boykins and brings up Tiger Woods’ issues, the NBA Finals and Will Parks’ decision to post videos of Paxton at practice. The hour wraps with a traffic report from the Strawberry Man and videos of LaMelo Ball’s games being posted online that show him missing a bunch of shots.
Football at Four underway with the fellas going back out to the Strawberry Man for a live traffic update as I-25 is slowly starting to recover from the tanker fire from earlier today. Talk of CJ Anderson picking up Cycling as an offseason workout comes up, as well as the Will Parks Snapchat story. Alfred explains to DMac what the importance is of working on plays that aren’t necessarily in the playbook, in case of a rainy day as they try to figure out where Will Parks’ head was when he posted those videos. The hour finishes with the question, are Broncos fans okay with going 4-12 if it means Paxton Lynch gets playing time.
The third and final hour of The Drive underway with reaction to Alfred’s question of Broncos fans being okay with going 4-12 behind a Rookie Quarterback. Also, we share a few words about former Bronco Tom Graham’s passing. The Closing Bell rings on Mike Tirico taking over for Al Michaels on Thursday Night Football and the NBA Finals as trending up. Trending down is Tiger Woods as video of his DUI arrest was made public today as well as John Clayton leaving ESPN. Who ya Got? brings up the Rockies in Seattle taking on the Mariners and Game 2 of the NHL Stanley Cup Finals between the Predators and Penguins. We also find out whether Alfred and DMac are on #teambacon or #teamtacos.
