Stokley & Zach – 05/04/2017 – Brandon Stokley and Zach Bye live in studio. Thursday’s show the guys talk about the Broncos quarterback competition this season between Trevor Siemian and Paxton Lynch. Former Broncos running back Justin Forsett joined the show.
Hour one Zach Bye and Brandon Stokley talk about the Broncos quarterback competition this off-season going into the season. The guys look at whether or not more shotgun this next year will help Trevor Siemian or Paxton Lynch this season. Brandon Stokley goes into how Paxton Lynch must take the next step in his career this season with the Broncos quarterback battle. Brandon Stokley also goes into how Lynch may be more comfortable in the shotgun but that Siemian still won’t be that uncomfortable. Zach Bye also gives some of his thoughts on the Broncos quarterback situation.
For the rest of hour one the guys look at if where the two quarterbacks were drafted means anything at all in the situation. The fellas break down how the Broncos quarterback battle might shake out this season based on the coaching staff and if new additions impact it at all.
Hour two former Broncos running back Justin Forsett joined Stokley & Zach. Justin talks about his decision to retire from the NFL this past week. Justin goes into what played into the decision and why now was the right time to decide to hang up his cleats. Justin also breaks down the Broncos adding Jamaal Charles to their backfield. Justin then gives some overall thoughts on Devontae Booker and what type of running back he could end up being. Brandon Stokley weighs in on how the best quarterback will win the job going into the season. Brandon Stokley explains why maybe Siemian could still be the Broncos quarterback for the next four or five years if he improves on. Zach Bye also gives some thoughts on where Trevor Siemian can improve this season. The guys also discuss why both quarterbacks will have an equal opportunity.
