The Drive with Big Al & DMac LIVE in studio! Von Miller declares himself the People’s Champ in the locker room and is not worried about the team captain label, but wouldn’t mind if the Broncos named him as one. Demaryius and Von were direct when answering questions at Dove Valley today, and the guys break down their favorite comments. Troy Renck of Denver7 joins the program with interesting takeaways from Dove Valley & DT and Von Miller’s pressers.
With Von as the people’s champ, Big Al says he picked a damn good role model in DeMarcus Ware as he ascends to Broncos stardom. DMac wonders when Hollywood will be on the horizon for Ware, and Von Miller now thinks OTA’s are important. Big Al says he didn’t learn one move in OTA’s, but picked things up in training camp. Al says it’s hard to go full-speed for OTA’s because nobody wants to hurt another player. Also, Lavar Ball’s comments on white players, the possible sale of the team in Broncos Country and how Tony Romo’s jump-shot looked in a Dallas Mavericks uniform.
Demaryius is loving the swing passes Mike McCoy is about to install in the Broncos offense, and the guys hear the audio from his most recent comments from Dove Valley. Big Al says the Broncos Team Captain label may be rigged, and laughs about Siemian being named captain halfway through the year. Al tells DMac what he loves about DT after hearing it straight from the horses’ mouth about his hip. DMac & Al loved the interaction today with Mike Shanahan, and reminisce about Mike’s son, Kyle. The Padres have five new starting pitchers on Opening Day and Big Al laughs about nothing but fastballs in the first inning. Another Tebow update from Big Sexy as the Fireflies see more action, and Big Al heats up the Star Wars debate once again with what movie came first. DMac asks Al if Von Miller can get any better, and the guys say goodbye to more stadiums across the NBA. Also, Big Al says he’s always taking the Rockies in Who Ya Got early in the season.
