The Drive with Big Al & DMac LIVE in studio! DU Pioneers win the National Championship, Rockies rough up Kershaw, Nuggets shocked by record-breaking Westbrook & the Thunder, everything Avs must go, and Sergio Garcia is a Masters Champion. Cecil Lammey joins the show fresh off Vance Joseph’s message to the team at Dove Valley today.
The Drive is off and running with critique on Sergio Garcia’s Masters performance & how he handles the pressure of a choke artist. Al can’t believe DMac can’t wait for OTA’s and thanks Mike Shanahan for that. DMac asks how in the world it’s an open competition at QB after hearing audio from Vance Joseph’s message of urgency to the team. DMac does not feel good about a guy coming back from double-hip surgery at Center, and Big Al remains a big Donald Stephenson fan for the Broncos’ LT position. DMac says the Masters would have been better with Spieth there at the end so we could root against Sergio, and is happy he didn’t have to see Tiger miss the cut. Also, everything Avs must go.
Cecil Lammey joins the show fresh off Vance Joseph’s message to the team at Dove Valley today. All Paxton is going to get, and whether Trevor will have to start all over again proving his worth to the coaching staff. Big Al asks Cecil how the Broncos avoid letting guys get assaulted when they’re over-matched & what the difference is between Ryan Ramczyk & Garett Bolles. Cecil says if he wanted to take a chance on the O-Line, it would have to be Forrest Lamp or nothing. Also, the main buzz on the Leonard Fournette report & no doubts about Myles Garrett as the No. 1 overall. Listen to the interview HERE! Also, DMac asks Big Al if Trevor Siemian earned the starting job last year, and Al says Denver can’t be giving jobs to people.
The DU Pioneers are Kings of college hockey once again, and the guys remember the awkward firing of George Gwozdecky. The wind at Coors Field on Sunday, and Sergio’s bad read with a chance to win the Masters. DMac compares NASCAR love with PGA love, and Vance Joseph says in his presser that he did not take roll today. Big Al says the Broncos would receive instant impact with Joe Mixon and a playmaking TE, and DMac is still annoyed with Cubs fans. Also, Tim Tebow grounds out & DMac turns into Jim Nantz when congratulating Sergio on his Masters win.
