The Drive with DMac & Tyler Polumbus LIVE in studio! The Rockies get a huge win on Opening Day & the guys hear audio of Nolan Arenado’s sick pick at the hot corner to end the game. Adrian Peterson is still up for grabs, and Tony Romo can now talk to teams about his current contract & trade possibilities. Cecil Lammey says money will be the big deal in Tony Romo discussions. Mike Fisher says the sadness will end soon, and there is a trade to be had if you ask Jerry Jones, but the Texans & Broncos aren’t even sitting at the table with Jerry. Tony Wolters joins the show & says Jon Gray was a warrior today, and everyone did their job, including the bullpen.
Lexi Thompson moves her ball & gets a four-stroke penalty, and Gronk gets in the ring for WrestleMania. Tyler says Gronk didn’t look hurt, and looks ready to roll as OTA’s are on the horizon. DMac thinks Adrian Peterson likely ends up with the Giants, and the guys hear the final call from the Rockies big win over the Brewers on a web gem from Nolan Arenado. You don’t have to have a perfect body to be a good player, and the guys defend C.J. Anderson’s belly picture, noting that he still has six weeks to get it together. Also, Tyler says it’s a no-brainer for the Broncos to bring Tony Romo in and at least talk to him.
What other options are out there besides Tony Romo? The listeners reach out to DMac & Tyler about whether or not bringing Tony Romo to Denver is a good idea. Cecil Lammey says money will be the big deal in Tony Romo discussions. How much he wants & for how long will be talked about. Cecil says Jerry Jones is trying to stay true to his word on the do-right deal, while creating a market for Tony. The Broncos should be involved now that Tony is more available, but Cecil is convinced it will mostly be kicking Romo’s tires. Listen to the interview HERE! Joan Crawford mellow-drama follows after Tony Romo’s video about times changing. Mike Fisher says the sadness will end soon, and there is a trade to be had if you ask Jerry Jones, but the Texans & Broncos aren’t even sitting at the table with Jerry. Fisher compares the situation to nobody going with Jerry as a prom date, and says unless Romo gets the perfect situation with an NFL team, including big money and contention for a championship, he’s going to retire. Listen to the interview HERE!
Tony Wolters joins the show & says Jon Gray was a warrior today, and everyone did their job, including the bullpen. Tony says it was nice to make plays again, and only a couple pitches got them, and simple mistakes can always be corrected. The ball will always find the bat eventually, and Wolters knows the Rockies can’t walk guys. Wolters is proud, and knows next time the Rockies will be even better. Tyler asks Tony about Greg Holland’s first save of the year, and Tony loved the way the Rockies’ veterans controlled the tempo of the game. Wolters knows the team needs to keep coming together, but still expects to win every game. Listen to the interview HERE! Also, DMac asks if Tyler ever played at old Mile High & what happened when Steelers fans overtook a Broncos home game. Finally, who Tyler & DMac got in the National Championship.
