The Drive with Big Al & DMac LIVE in studio. Tony Romo is set to be released by the Cowboys, and DMac & Al tell the listeners why Jerry Jones would want to cut ties with the star QB. Earl Boykins joins the show to talk Nuggets basketball, and the likely demise of Ty Lawson. Tyler Polumbus joins the show and says he’s not as high on Ronald Leary as the other guys, because he’s not a fan of players that lose their job. Patrick Saunders joins the show, and says he’s all for Tim Tebow as a distraction from the rigors of spring training. Also, Cecil Lammey joins Big Al & DMac to say the Broncos don’t want to wait around on their two young QB’s.
Big Al mentions what it truly takes to be a successful QB in the NFL & he’s not sure if Paxton Lynch has enough now. DMac says if you can go with an upgrade at QB, all options must be explored. Earl Boykins joins the show, and loves Tony Romo in Denver if it’s the best way to win a Super Bowl. Tebow strikes out, and hits into a double-play, to the glee of the guys in the studio. Ty Lawson violates his probation, and the guys hypothesize what happens next for the former star point guard. Lance Armstrong is just like Earl, and has no problem falling asleep.
Ricky Wagner goes to Detroit to the chagrin of Big Al, and the Broncos need to surround Romo with weapons. Denver shows interest in Menelik Watson from the Raiders, and Big Al thinks B-Marsh is selfish & not all-in.
