The Drive with Big Al & Cecil Lammey LIVE in studio. The NBA All-Star Game is upon us, and Big Al & Cecil laugh about Nuggets in dunk contests of the past. Tyler Polumbus joins the show to help Big Al & Cecil grade John Elway’s first-round draft picks. Big Al forces Tyler to grade out Paxton Lynch, the toughest thing for Cecil & Tyler to do. Bradley Roby’s grade remains incomplete & Shane Ray’s grade from Tyler is lower than the guys expected.
It’s Godzilla! No it’s Vince Carter dunking over a 7-foot man. Cecil asks Big Al if the Timberwolves are the most disappointing team in the NBA & if he can recall the best dunk of all-time. Huge RB1 names like McCoy, Charles & Lacy have shady futures, and Big Al & Cecil decide if any of them would be a good fit in Denver. Big Al remembers Kevin McHale’s skill-set, and Cecil struggles to think of anyone that did it better.
Kirk Cousins has no desire to be in Washington long-term. Listen to the interview HERE!
Jared Crick & Sly Williams aren’t loved in Denver according to Big Al. Faried gets no minutes and Juancho & Plumlee are similar. Al says this will be a different Nuggets team come Friday, and rookies take a while in the NBA. Cecil can’t wait until Murray gets up to speed, and in the Closing Bell, the guys reminisce about former stars in the dunk contest.
