The Drive with Big Al in Houston & DMac LIVE in studio discuss Charles Oakley looking like a bully after his spat with security at Madison Square Garden. Big Al asks why Calais Campbell would leave Arizona & DMac says something funny is going on with Carson Palmer despite Palmer saying he will be returning to the team in ’17. Mike Klis joins Big Al & DMac with more information on Tony Romo, and how the situation might affect the Broncos. Trevor Siemian’s resume is compared to that of Deshaun Watson.
Charles Oakley buys tickets to yell and scream from a few rows back, and that sets off the guys. DMac wonders if Adam Peters was too valuable & Big Al tells DMac why Elway wouldn’t do what he did for Peters, for anyone else. Julian Edelman catches a beer that was thrown at his face during the Pats Super Bowl LI parade. Al wants to know if the way Charles Oakley was treated is okay, and if the team should not welcome a former player like that back. The relationships Al had with owners and old teams are brought up, and not being welcomed back may be in Charles Oakley’s future.
Deion Sanders & Tony Dungy go back & forth about stealing signals. The guys say it’s just part of the game. Big Al says when everything is quiet in the preseason is the best time to study QB calls. Deion is exposing the truth & people are mad. Big Al wants to know where the signals were stolen from, and DMac asks if Al is a fan of Deion Sanders on T.V. The Denver Nuggets come into focus, and Big Al reminds DMac just how long it’s been since we had playoff basketball in Denver. Mike Klis joins Big Al & DMac with more information on Tony Romo, and how the situation might affect the Broncos. Klis doesn’t think there is any more cash guarantee with Romo’s contract, and talks about dead money problems when it comes to Romo’s signing bonus. Listen to the interview HERE! Trevor Siemian’s resume is compared to that of Deshaun Watson. Big Al explains why he believes in resumes when it comes to QB’s and what makes Cam Newton & Jameis Winston SHOWTIME. The guys debate if Watson will start day one, and take calls on QBs with superstar status. In the closing bell, DMac says he did some research on LaMelo Ball, and Al doesn’t like the stat sheet or the way Ball is being coached. The guys agree Charles Oakley was out of line with his altercation with security at the Knicks game. The guys preview UNCvsDUKE from Cameron Indoor tonight.
