The Drive with Big Al in Houston & DMac LIVE in studio break down Super Bowl LI. DMac says Atlanta’s series of plays that cost them the game was worse than Seattle’s two years ago. Howard Griffith joins Big Al & DMac to talk about how special the moment must have been for Terrell Davis when he was inducted into the Hall of Fame. An investigation might have to be done to figure out who truly started the Mile High Salute. Big Al & DMac break down all the crucial moments of Super Bowl LI with some audio. Peter McKee joins the show with his final thoughts on Super Bowl LI with a Boston twist.
What were the Patriots thinking throwing a fade to Martellus Bennett with the game on the line? DMac & Al decide if New England is nuts. Big Al counts at least four balls in overtime that should have been intercepted & laughs at Malcolm Mitchell slipping on his comeback route. How big the blow was when Coleman went out, and DMac says all Atlanta had to do was kick a field goal to win the Super Bowl. DMac asks Al if the Patriots are the greatest franchise of all-time. Also, Big Al is upset about some bad calls by the refs.
Cecil Lammey joins Big Al & DMac to break down the Patriots unbelievable comeback against the Falcons in OT at Super Bowl LI in Houston. Cecil says Lady Gaga’s jump from on top of NRG Stadium was startling & it was truly a spectacle to see the halftime show. Cecil mentions Vollmer as a possible name the Broncos could pluck away from the Super Bowl champs heading into the ’17 season. The name Julius Thomas comes up again, as Jacksonville may be waving goodbye to the big tight end. DMac says Martellus Bennett accepted his role in New England, which could cost him some money.
