Also, setting the scene for Super Bowl LI. ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter joins via phone to say everyone has a different idea of the perfect Super Bowl. Big Al challenges the listeners to find a better female athlete than Serena Williams right now. Mike Evans stops by to talk about when Tony Romo gets released. Cecil Lammey says nobody will trade for Romo & it’s up to Jerry Jones to release him. Big Al doesn’t want Tony Romo to hit the free-agent market, and Cecil says keep an eye on Patrick Mahomes II. Football at Four kicks off with breaking news! The Drive with Big Al & DMac LIVE from radio row in Houston, TX joined by Mike Klis of 9NEWS, who has breaking news concerning Eric Studesville. Klis thinks Vance Joseph was picked as Elway’s head coach as soon as the meeting with Shanahan was over, even though Kyle closed the gap in the meeting. Also, the eventual release of Tony Romo from the Cowboys & the Denver Broncos taking a look. Klis originally expected Denver to dismiss the idea of Tony Romo coming to town, but after what he’s heard lately, the option is being kept open if Romo is willing to come down to a three-year deal between five and ten million per year. Big Al asks Klis to describe the biggest difference in the Broncos last two Super Bowl appearances. Big Al wonders why everyone was so quick to scream at him for suggesting Tony Romo, and now the thought of him in a Broncos uniform is so real. Super Bowl 50 champion Tyler Polumbus joins Big Al & DMac LIVE from radio row in Houston, TX via phone to say more puzzle pieces are required if the Broncos truly want Tony Romo. Free agency seems inevitable for Romo, but Tyler is hoping the Broncos stay away. Adding him would only create more problems for Elway to deal with, so Tyler is not a fan. Big Al is excited to see Tyler at the Super Bowl, but is worried he may not fit in the seats. The final hour begins with webcam footage of DMac’s media food on radio row. Big Al talks role and responsibilities of a general manager & best characteristic of John Elway as a GM. Finding a way to make it work & accommodating superstars. Ryan Harris joins Big Al & DMac via phone to say it keeps getting better every day coming off that Super Bowl 50 victory. Describing the Broncos movement through the playoffs and how all the moving parts formed a stronger bond between teammates. Battling through five games decided by two points or less made for a sweeter victory when the Super Bowl rolled around. Ryan says he is grateful for the city of Denver, but DMac tries to keep him from taking the high road when asked why he is not a Denver Bronco any longer. Harris says he knew what kind of guys and what kind of competitors guys like Aqib Talib were, but business decisions always need to be made in the NFL. The game flies by, and the routine is rarely the same on Super Bowl week, but Ryan Harris says preparation remains key. Ryan also says he’s pulling for Ben Garland and Chester Pitts because there is nobody more deserving & the Falcons should win this week.
