The Drive LIVE in studio, it’s Big Al and DMac getting the show started talking about today’s Broncos news of new team Captains have been announced. Trevor Siemian on the offense, T.J. Ward on the defense and Dekoda Watson on Special Teams. The fellas get into a back and forth over players and coaches quitting on their teams in the middle of the season because of Norv Turner’s resignation from his Offensive Coordinator gig in Minnesota. The Big Three at 3:30 brings in Earl Boykins and brings up Game 7 of the World Series tonight and John Daly’s ESPN 30 for 30. The hour wraps with Earl and the fellas talking about the Nuggets’ early season struggles, as starting Point Guard, Emmanuel Mudiay, has only averaged 3 assists per game, while averaging 30 minutes a night and, of course, Cleveland and the World Series.
Football at Four underway with Big Al and DMac tossing around the Broncos/Raiders rivalry and how it’s kind of flamed out recently with the Raiders struggling. Alfred says it’s because the Raiders don’t have any “hateable” players, i.e. a Bill Romanowski. Our Fan Broncos Insider Cecil Lammey joins the show to talk about the goings on out at Broncos practice earlier today. The fellas break down what naming Trevor Siemian means to the environment in the building for rookie Paxton Lynch. Listen to the interview with Cecil HERE! Pedro Gomez from ESPN joins the show LIVE from Progressive Field ahead of Game 7 of the World Series. Pedro sets the stage for us, comparing the intensity of the environment to the old Colorado Avalanche v Detroit Red Wings games. Pedro also gives us his take on the Cubs’ use of Aroldis Chapman last night. Catch our chat with Pedro HERE!
The third and final hour of the show underway with Chad Brown coming in studio and joining the fellas, talking about the World Series and who’s pulling for who. The rivalry conversation returns as Chad and Al talk about the old AFC Central rivalries. A texter says that rivalries are more fan based than player based. Moving to today’s news, Al and Chad think Emmanuel Sanders should be the Offense’s Captain. The Closing Bell rings on the World Series and Sunday Night Football as trending up. Trending down is the Minnesota Vikings Coaching staff and Jamie Collins and the Patriots. The show wraps with a Col. Sanders conversation for the ages.
