Juwan Thompson highlights early Broncos roster cuts
After making the final 53-man roster the past two years, running back Juwan Thompson has become perhaps the biggest name among the early Denver Broncos roster cuts.
Thompson was waived, 9News Broncos Insider Mike Klis reported just after noon Friday after receiving the bulk of his preseason action in the team’s finale Thursday against the Arizona Cardinals, carrying the ball just five times for 7 yards.

After the game, Thompson said he tried to solidify himself by “playing running back, fullback and special teams” but that roster cuts are part of the business of playing in the NFL.
“It is a tough business, but that is what we deal with. That is what you sign up for,” Thompson said.
