A packed show for Big Al and DMac on The Drive today as news broke of the Denver Broncos’ announcement of the three new Ring of Famers.  We also had JT The Brick on to talk about the Raiders’ possible move to Las Vegas.  Joe Ellis, President of the Denver Broncos also was on to talk about the Ring of Fame and stadium issues.  The final hour is highlighted by Jason Elam, one of the three newest Ring of Famers, joining the show.

The Drive opens up with Broncos Ring of Fame talk regarding who’s up for debate. Simon Fletcher, Jason Elam, Al Wilson all come to mind, not forgetting our very own Mark Schlereth.  With Mike Klis, our 9NEWS Broncos insider, reports the three selections are Jason Elam, Simon Fletcher and John Lynch.

The Big Three at 3:30 touches on the Refs in the NBA Playoffs, the NBA Lottery and the suspensions were handed down for the Blue Jays/Rangers.

The hour wraps with with talk of how serious athletes are about their sport that attend an Ivy League school as opposed to the rest of what’s going on in their lives.  Why did Jay Cutler go to Vanderbilt.

The second hour underway with more conversation about the Broncos’ selections to their Ring of Fame and questioning why Ed McCaffrey hasn’t been selected to the ROF yet.

JT The Brick, who covers the Raiders but lives in Las Vegas, joins The Drive to talk about the possibilities of the Raiders moving from Oakland to Las Vegas.  He also touches on the city of Oakland’s relationship with all of their professional teams, including the Athletics, who share a field with the Raiders.  Hear our conversation with JT HERE!

Joe Ellis, the President of the Denver Broncos joins the show as well to talk about the organization’s decision to honor Jason Elam, Simon Fletcher and John Lynch by voting them to the Ring of Fame.  Hear the entire interview with Joe HERE!

The third and final hour underway talking about the Broncos’ stadium naming rights fiasco going on and elaborating what Joe’s thoughts are about why the team needs a sponsorship when it comes to naming rights. Deliberation begins on where the team would build a new stadium if it comes to that.

The Closing Bell rings on the NBA Lottery, Rougned Odor and Steven Adams’ comments from last night’s post-game comments.

Jason Elam, newly-named Bronco Ring of Famer, joins the show to talk about what this honor means to him and to relive some of the old days, the back-to-back Super Bowl victories.  Hear our conversation with one of the newest Ring of Famers HERE!
