Schlereth & Evans – 5/12/16 – Stink and Mike open a mixed bag of sports topics during Thursday’s show including comments from Broncos linebackers yesterday as well as Max Scherzer’s 20 strikeout performance and Nolan’s late game heroics to put the Rockies over the top. Baseball guys Drew Goodman from Root Sports and Buster Olney from ESPN both join the show to talk Rockies and other big stories from around the MLB.

The first hour begins with Stink and Mike giving their impressions on Washington Nationals Ace Max Scherzer and his record-tying 20 strikeouts yesterday against the Detroit Tigers. 

The Morning Brew came next where the guys chat more linebacker comments, the beat down the St. Louis Blues laid on the Dallas Stars, the Rockies avoiding the sweep and Max Scherzer’s 9-inning 20 strikeout performance. 

Hour one closes with discussion about rookie punter Riley Dixon being the first rookie to sign a contract and what that most likely means for veteran punter Britton Colquitt.

Hour two pops off with Stink’s “Clear The Air” segment where he has a bone to pick with those fans who continually distrust GM John Elway when it comes to picking out player talent. Hear Stink express his feelings BELOW:
4 Down Territory went down at 7:30 where Mark and Mike chatted Shaq Barrett and Shane Ray improvements, Dolphin Head Coach Adam Gase’s comments on the Peyton Manning visit, Sam Bradford’s agent on the trade demands and players #90-81 revealed on the NFL Top 100 show.

The second hour closes with a debate on whether or not the Broncos will bring in another veteran QB before training camp starts and the chances that that veteran QB is Sam Bradford.

The third hour starts off with ESPN Baseball Analyst Buster Olney joining Stink and Evans to chat the biggest stories from around the MLB including Max scherzer’s 20 strikeout night, Bryce Hrper’s 1-game suspension and the possibility of Angels OF Mike Trout being traded. Listen to our conversation with Buster HERE!

Good friend Drew Goodman of Root Sports then joins the guys for his weekly visit to talk all things Rockies including the joy not blowing the game yesterday brought him, Nolan Arenado putting the team on his back for the win and the outlook of the future with the NY Mets heading in to town tomorrow. elway 1OT begins with Stink telling a story of when he played and how what happened one fateful Friday afternoon almost derailed his football career forever. 

Evans then takes over by himself and proceeds to dive back into Stink’s “Clear The Air” rant about people not trusting GM John Elway to make the proper personnel decisions. 

Mike closes OT with revisits to both 4 Down Territory as well his and Stink’s conversation with ESPN MLB analyst Buster Olney where they discussed a wide array of topics from around the league.
