Schlereth & Evans – 4/26/16 – Stink returns for Tuesday’s show to discuss the busy start to draft week including Tom Brady’s suspension reinstated by a U.S. Appeals Court as well as the Broncos interest in Sam Bradford and their signing of TE Garrett Graham.Tony Massarotti from 98.5 The Sports Hub in Boston joins the guys to talk the Brady suspension.
Hour One kicks off with Stink and Mike talking the Broncos current interest level in Eagles QB Sam Bradford and what they think needs to happen negotiations wise to get him in a Denver Broncos jersey.
They then moved on to The Morning Brew where they chatted Broncos news including more Bradford trade scenarios and the signing of TE Garrett Graham, Tom Brady’s newly reinstated suspension, Chris Paul’s broken hand leading to the end of his season and the thrilling Game 7 finish between the Blues and Blackhawks in the NHL playoffs.
The guys closed out the first hour by reading some fan texts from the Total Beverage Text Line where opinions came in on the possible Bradford trade and the other QB options out there that they (the texters) would rather have instead.
The second hour starts off with Stink’s famed “Clear The Air” segment where he lets Sam Bradford know that if he doesn’t want to be labeled as a “bridge quarterback” then he needs to stop playing like one. Listen to Stink let Bradford have it BELOW:
The fellas then moved on to 4 Down Territory where they dove into more of the Broncos interest in Sam Bradford, the signing of TE Garrett Graham and some reaction to the U.S. Court of Appeals upholding the NFL’s suspension of Tom Brady.
The closing of hour two heard the guys being joined by Boston Sports Radio Host Tony Massarotti to discuss the reinstatement of Tom Brady’s suspension including his immediate reaction to the ruling handed down yesterday, the possibility of Brady never getting his starting job back after the suspension, how this year long battle has become personal to both sides and why he thinks the critics seem to come down harder on Brady for his mistakes compared to how Peyton Manning was treated for his. Listen to our conversation with Tony HERE!
The final hour of Schlereth & Evans consisted of Mark and Mike discussing how Broncos fans should be happy that John Elway and the organization has stuck to what has won them championships in the past and a big part of that is making sure they don’t reach for players in the draft, quarterbacks in particular.
The gents then took a good chunk of the last hour to talk about current Broncos quarterback Mark Sanchez and how since he has been in Denver he has made a very good impression on his teammates, coaches, front office execs and some of the Denver Broncos fan base.
They closed hour three discussing some of the journeymen quarterbacks currently in the NFL that Denver could still be interested in and Mark posed a fun game of “QB Either Or” to Mike where they chose which QB they’d rather have out of two options.
