3PM – The Drive with Big Al and D-Mac begins with the guys discussing the Colorado Rockies’ loss to the Cincinnati Reds this afternoon. Earl Boykins joins the guys for the Big Three at 3:30. D-Mac talks about the Panthers rescinding their franchise tag on Josh Norman. 4PM – The biggest news of the day going into Football at Four is Josh Norman hitting the free agency market as the Carolina Panthers rescind the franchise tag they had placed on the star cornerback before the free agent period began. Big Al says adding Norman could make a team great. D-Mac brings up the trade between the Philadelphia Eagles and Cleveland Browns and the guys discuss how the Browns can use the picks they acquired in the move to set themselves up for the next few seasons. The guys talk about some comments that Demaryius Thomas made about his performance last season and speculate as to what caused the drop in production for the Broncos receiver last year. The guys are joined by Anthony Gargano, host of 97.5 The Fanatic in Philadelphia, and they ask his thoughts on the Philadelphia Eagles moving up to the number 2 overall pick. Gargano says that he really likes the move because the Eagles have been looking for a solution at the QB position since Donovan McNabb. Big Al questions what will happen for the Eagles if the Los Angeles Rams take the QB that the Eagles were targeting. They ask if the Philadelphia Eagles would possibly target Josh Norman.

5PM – Chad Brown joins the guys at the top of the 5 o’clock hour and they discuss the Carolina Panthers rescinding the franchise tag placed on Josh Norman. Big Al brings up Luke Kuechly’s contract saying that because Kuechly is the best player on the Panthers’ defense he should be the highest paid defender on the team. They talk about Eagles and Browns trade and point out the differences between the philosophy of the Broncos and Eagles in regards to the QB position. Big Al mentions all the draft picks the Washington Redskins traded to the Rams to get RG3 a few years ago saying that the Rams used those picks to build their team and now feel they are just a QB away from being atop the NFC West. He believes the Cleveland Browns might find themselves in a similar postilion to the Rams a few years down the road. For the Closing Bell D-Mac has mediocre QBs trending up as the league grows more desperate for QB answers. Big Al has Lebron James Trending up with him playing in his 180th playoff game. D-Mac has Josh Norman trending down with his franchise tag being rescinded. Big Al has Sam Bradford of the Philadelphia Eagles trending down. The guys close the show talking about how the Broncos went from winning the Superbowl to hosting Brian Hoyer in a matter of months.
