QB Prospects The Broncos Should Have Their Sights On: Schlereth & Evans

Schlereth & Evans – 4/20/16 – Mark and Mike take on the middle of the week as they discuss the NFL Draft and Mel Kiper’s thoughts on who the Broncos should take at 31 as well as other draft news and trade possibilities from around the league. The guys were also joined by CSU Head Football Coach Mike Bobo to talk the CSU Spring Game.
Hour One kicks off with the guys discussing comments made by ESPN NFL draft analyst Mel Kiper about who and what position he thinks the Broncos should go with at pick 31 of next week’s draft.
The Morning Brew consisted of Mark and Mike talking more Mel Kiper comments, the Cleveland Browns and their shopping of the #2 overall pick, the Rockies loss to the Reds last night and the latest from the NBA and NHL playoffs.
The gents closed the first hour taking some thoughts from the Total Beverage Text Line in response to Mike’s comments on Mark Sanchez and the possibility of him being the Comeback Player of the Year.
Hour Two popped off with Stink’s famous “Clear The Air” segment where he lets loose on the folks who think the Broncos absolutely have to take QB in the first round and how the Broncos recent success has come from drafting the best player available. Hear Stink let it all out BELOW:
4 Down Territory the took place halfway through the second hour where the guys chatted more about Mel Kiper and drafting the best player available, Johnny Manziel’s all new career low, Ryan Fitzpatrick having a Boys Night Out for his Jets teammates and rumors of Eagles QB Sam Bradford possibly being on the trading block.
The guys closed hour 2 with some fan reaction to Stink and his thoughts on the current turmoil surrounding QB Johnny Manziel.
The final hour of Wednesdays’s show started off with CSU Head Football Coach Mike Bobo joining Mark and Mike where they discuss the upcoming Green and Gold game this weekend in Fort Collins, how the change of culture is going within his program, his advice to former CSU star Rashard Higgins on how to decide about leaving early for the NFL and the latest news on his current QB competition. The last half of the final hour was filled with some mixed chit-chat about the NFL draft and the guys’ thoughts on who Elway could be looking at in the bottom of the first round as well as why they think the second and third rounds are much more exciting for fans then the first may be.
