4PM – Football at Four begins with Big Al and D-Mac discussing Connor Cook as a prospect for the Broncos to take in the first round, making the case that Cook matches most of Bill Parcell’s rules for drafting a quarterback. They talk more about the Tyrod Taylor trade rumors, and asking if it would be a reasonable trade for the Broncos. They talk about how long the Broncos can maintain the level of their defensive play. Big Al revisits the Colin Kaepernick trade rumors, saying that the 49ers will be making a significant mistake if they do not go through will the trade. He talks about how more trade rumors emerging works in the Broncos’ favor when it comes to getting the Kaepernick trade done. They compare Taylor to Kaepernick, asking which would be a better fit for Denver. The guys are joined by Michigan State radio color analyst Jason Strayhorn, and they discuss Connor Cook. Strayhorn calls Cook a winner, a leader, and a clutch performer. Strayhorn says that the knocks on his leadership skills are completely unfounded. They talk about the halted trade negotiations between the Broncos and 49ers, and whether or not the 49ers will eventually crack and pay the $5 million to get the Colin Kaepernick trade done. The guys break the news that Johnny Manziel was informed that if he does not go to rehab his agent will no longer represent him. They ask if this was a disrespectful move on the part of the agent to give Manziel this sort of threat.
