For the second straight season Bones Hyland will be a part of All-Star Weekend.
In February, Hyland will travel to Utah for the NBA’s Rising Stars Game. The second-year guard from VCU is struggling over the past month or so and is the subject of trade rumors but is still among the league’s best young players.
Hyland is playing about 20 minutes a game, scoring 12 points, adding three assists and two rebounds per night.

Hyland joins probable No. 2 overall pick in the coming NBA Draft, Scoot Henderson, NBA Rookie of the Year favorite Paolo Banchero and last year’s Rookie of the Year Scottie Barnes as the headliners in the game.
Nikola Jokic will be in Utah, voted to another All-Star Game while Michael Malone could coach one of the teams, if the Nuggets hold onto the best record in the west for another week or two. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Aaron Gordon have each lobbied to be part of the festivities in Salt Lake City.
