The Denver Broncos fought last week against the AFC West-best Kansas City Chiefs, and now they finish the season against another divisional team headed to the playoffs; the Los Angeles Chargers.
The Broncos are coming off a tight loss to one of the Super Bowl favorites, while the Bolts have won four straight—beating the Rams 10-6 in the battle for L.A. last Sunday. Depending on what happens around the AFC, this game could impact the Chargers seeding for the playoffs, they’ve already locked up a wildcard bid but can’t catch KC for the AFC West title.
Denver’s league-worst offense at 16.0 points per game is going toe-to-toe with the best young quarterbacks in the AFC with Justin Herbert. But the Broncos have been better as of late, scoring more than 24 points in three of their last four contests.
Oddsmakers currently predict that the Broncos will lose by 3.5 to 5.5 points depending on where you look. And they’re still not excepting a lot of scoring either, with the total coming in at 40.5
That means folks in Vegas think the Broncos will lose about around 21-18.
This will be the 126th matchup between these division foes. The Broncos are 70-55-1 all-time against the Chargers, including one playoff win for the Broncos. The Broncos have lost two in a row to the Chargers, with the last game coming earlier this season in a 19-16 win for L.A.
The Broncos are done for the season when the clock ticks zero on this game.
