Broncos players go off on social media in defense of Russell Wilson

Russell Wilson is having the worst season of his career and the much-maligned star quarterback has taken as many hits off the field as on it.
One issue Denver Broncos fans have taken with Wilson is the special treatment the quarter-billion-dollar quarterback has received. Since the trade that brought Wilson from Seattle to Denver, he’s been given an office at Dove Valley, extra parking spaces and his superstar wife Ciara and their kids were wherever they wanted to be at training camp. Most of these perks are understandable given Wilson’s past play but as the Broncos have struggled the privileges the quarterback gets different from his teammates have been spotlighted.
Barstool Sports posted a somewhat inaccurate story in which they aggregated former Broncos tight end Shannon Sharpe’s take from FoxSports. Sharpe detailed many things already well-known in Denver but brought national attention to it.
Now Wilson’s teammates are running to his defense with the backing of the Broncos’ main Twitter feed. Both Jerry Jeudy and KJ Hamler talked about how good of a teammate Wilson is and his dedication.
I ain’t gonna keep looking at these false statements about my boii russ man, as a teammate who sees the elite work ethic this man has is incomparable. He got an office because he’s committed his life to this game. I never had a teammate who motivate me more then russ 💯 https://t.co/G8sTe3Hllg

Y’all really trying to bring this man down. Russ Is the most dedicated and hard working teammate I have had. And y’all wanna bring up this to put him under. Man stop it. 3ski a legend in my eyes. I Understand this season isn’t the way we wanted nor anybody wanted. https://t.co/731VuHfiNK

Both of those Tweets were reposted by the Broncos main account. Sharpe’s comments that began the whole thing are below:
“I don’t know who the head coach is gonna be, but the first thing you do [is say], ‘Russell Wilson, I’m locking this office. You will no longer have an office. All those parking spaces you get the stadium, they’re gone too — because you’re putting yourself in front of the team.’ I said it before, I’ll say it again, and I stand by it: You ticked a lot of people off with your attitude, bro. You can come out here and talk about how we’re a team and I’m good with my teammates, but deep down inside, they’re seething, and I’m gonna leave it at that.”
“3 goes above and beyond to do whatever it takes to win for the team,” Hamler wrote on Twitter.
Y’all not about to bash him and act like he still ain’t that same Russ who won a Super Bowl and was a 9 time pro bowler. I stand behind my QB love u 3″
“Just tired of the media trynna portray sum it’s not. Got the whole world fooled,” Jeudy wrote on Twitter. “If you don’t know someone personally don’t speak on em 💯. But we all know it’s because we losing as soon we start winning all that extra (stuff) is out the window. But thats the lame aihh world we live in.”
Despite Wilson’s supreme dedication, the Broncos are 4-11, have the worst offense in the NFL and their coach was fired earlier this week.
Sharpe and doubled and tripled down on his Wilson take about being a bad teammate, which has been echoed by his former teammate in Seattle.

"We knew John Elway got certain perks and privileges. But he never made us feel he was better than us. You can't do that."
