Russell Wilson takes scary hit to the head, leaves with a concussion

Dec 11, 2022, 4:59 PM | Updated: 5:09 pm

Russell Wilson left it all out there on Sunday for the Denver Broncos.

Unfortunately, he took a nasty hit in the process on a scramble play, and had to leave the game. The team says Wilson is being evaluated for a concussion. He clearly looked dazed and out of it after the hit, and also ended up with a huge knot on his head.

Brett Rypien came in and threw a TD pass to Jerry Jeudy, the receiver’s third score of the day. The Broncos are down 34-28 to the Chiefs, trying to pull off the miracle after being down 27-0.

But it looks like they’ll have to do it without Wilson.

(Update 5:09 p.m.) –

Wilson’s day is done.
