Oddsmakers pick Broncos as big underdogs on the road in Baltimore
Nov 28, 2022, 1:27 PM
The Denver Broncos have lost seven of their last eight games and are back on the road in Baltimore after a loss to the Carolina Panthers.
The Broncos are coming off a 23-10 beat down on the road, while the Ravens lost a heartbreaker to the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Broncos are out of the playoff picture while the Ravens are fighting for seeding.
Denver’s league-worst offense at just over 14 points per game is going toe-to-toe with one of the better offenses in Baltimore, scoring 25 per contest, which is more than Denver has scored in any single game. The Ravens are dealing with some controversy around their star quarterback Lamar Jackson but are otherwise rolling. The Broncos are still hanging onto Nathaniel Hackett, despite not seeming long for the gig.
Oddsmakers currently predict that the Broncos will lose by 8.5 points, with the opening line already moving from six. Prognosticators expect a very low-scoring showdown again. Experts say the total score will be around 39 points.
The Denver Broncos open up week 13 as an 8 point underdog in Baltimore, according to @SuperBookCO. That makes the Broncos the second largest underdog of the week after only Dallas -9.5 hosting Indianapolis.

Denver’s defense seems to have started breaking over the past few weeks which raises the question of why such a low total number. The Broncos have only had two non-one-score game this season, one being last week, and Denver is yet to win a true road game this season. It’s not too surprising to see the oddsmakers jumping off any hopes of a Russell Wilson-led turnaround this season.
This will be the 16th matchup between the two former playoff foes. The Ravens are 9-6 all-time against the Broncos, including two playoff wins. The Ravens beat the Broncos pretty easily last season in Denver.
The Broncos head home for a Sunday night game against the Chiefs the following week.
