Watch: Sam Darnold makes the Broncos look foolish on fumble touchdown

The Broncos can’t do anything right today in Carolina.

Trailing the Panthers 10-3 in the third quarter, Sam Darnold and the Panthers marched down the field for what could be an insurmountable touchdown. How Darnold scored, though, made the Broncos look foolish.

The former top-5 pick actually fumbled the ball, fell on it and then rolled into the end zone. The Denver defense didn’t touch him, so the TD counted, as you can advance your own fumble in that situation.

Credit to Josey Jewell for at least getting a hand on the football, but the Broncos simply are comical at this point. It’s hard to even be angry — it’s just pathetically funny.

Denver currently trails late in the third quarter, 17-3.
