12 fumbles.

That’s a staggering number, but also the final total for running back Melvin Gordon in a Broncos uniform. He coughed up the football 12 times in 2.5 seasons in Denver. Gordon was waived by GM George Paton on Monday morning, ending a disappointing tenure in Denver.

And if you want to know why, look no further than this video making the rounds on Twitter. It will make your blood boil as a Broncos fan, and also provide ample evidence for why this move had to be made.

That’s just unreal to watch them all back like that. It also shows Paton made a massive mistake by re-signing Gordon this offseason. It should have never happened, and he should’ve been cut much earlier than Nov. 21.

You can easily make the case Gordon cost the Broncos three games this year. Week 1 in Seattle, Week 4 in Las Vegas and Week 11 at home against the Raiders.

Good riddance and goodbye. It’s hard to say Broncos Country will miss Melvin Gordon.
