Russell Wilson came into Monday night’s game against the Chargers with questions about his shoulder after suffering a lat injury that required an injection last week.

The Denver Broncos quarterback left the game with a bum leg. He said after the game that the injury “got him pretty good” during the fourth quarter of the 19-16 overtime loss. Denver was held to -9 net passing yards in the second half and overtime after Wilson had started the game 10-for-10 with a touchdown. The Broncos only mustered up a field goal in the second half.

Now NFL Network is reporting that Wilson may have suffered a “fairly significant” hamstring injury. The star quarterback is getting an MRI to show the damage.

Wilson and the Broncos have struggled in his first six games in Denver. The Broncos have the worst scoring offense in the NFL, and Wilson ranks in the bottom third of the league in QBR.

The shoulder injury is said to have impacted his throwing. Last season Wilson missed a chunk of time with a finger injury.

Denver is on a short week, with their next game coming on Sunday against the Jets. Then they travel to London to take on the Jags before their bye week.

UPDATE: 2:15 p.m.

The worst has been avoided it seems as Wilson will be considered day-to-day but it sounds like his status for Sunday is up in the air.
