The Denver Broncos offense has yet to come up with a big play in the first half, held to field goals twice, but the defense has stepped up with a spark.
Just when it seemed like Indianapolis Colts had started to get going, veteran Matt Ryan hit a man in the wrong uniform. The indecisive throw at the 24 yard line wound up in the hands of young backup safety Caden Sterns. The former Texas Longhorn is stepping into Justin Simmons’ role, who is out a few weeks with an injury.

The pick and return set up the Broncos in decent field position as they look to get a two-possession lead. But the Broncos would boot the ball for their third punt of the game instead of a third field goal. Denver leads 6-0.
