The friendship between Nikola Jokic and Aaron Gordon is very real.
Gordon flew to Prague to watch Jokic compete in the final round of group play at the FIBA EuroBasket 2022 tournament on Thursday.
The two Nuggets teammates shared several moments after the game, and social media captured the best of them, including a Gordon interview about his experience and why he made the trip.

How cool is that?! It clearly shows how much respect Gordon has for Jokic. And how much Jokic appreciated his friend making the journey to surprise him.
Jokic and Serbia were dominant in group play, finishing 5-0. Now they move on to the Round of 16, which is win or go home. Serbia will open with Italy on Sunday night with a spot in the quarterfinals on the line. That game will take place in Berlin.
Meanwhile, Jokic and Gordon will be back on the court as teammates as early as October 3 when the NBA preseason opens. Denver takes on Oklahoma city at Ball Arena that evening.
If Jokic sits out the preseason, as many expect he might, the Nuggets open the regular season on October 19 in Utah.
Let’s hope Jokic comes home with a EuroBasket title, as he chases Denver’s first NBA championship this season.
