Nicolas Aube-Kubel gets awesome tattoo of the Stanley Cup

Nicolas Aube-Kubel is already away from Colorado on a new team, signing with the Toronto Maple Leafs this summer.
But Aube-Kubel will always be remembered for his contributions to the Colorado Avalanche on their run to the Stanley Cup and what he did to the trophy itself. Aube-Kubel famously fell and dented Lord Stanley en route to the team photo. The hilarious moment did no permanent damage to the very famous trophy.

Aube-Kubel and the Cup are still on good terms; apparently, he can joke about the flub. The NHL winger got a tattoo of the Stanley Cup on what appears to be his leg, and it even has a tiny little dent.

The tattoo honors the year Aube-Kubel, and the Avs took the trophy back home to Denver and has a little Avalanche-inspired puck and trail wrapping around it.
Aube-Kubel played in 14 Stanley Cup Playoff games and was a valued bottom-six forward for Colorado during the 2021-22 season. He’s now onto the Leafs, where he signed for $1 million to join the high-profile team.
