The Broncos are already short at linebacker, and in Week 1 of the preseason, they lost Jonas Griffith for at least a month which made the problem worse.
Denver picked up Joe Schobert to help solve the issue, but the problem may be getting worse rather than better. Malik Reed left Saturday’s second preseason game in Buffalo. Reed appeared to get poked in the eye, and the team said he was questionable to return.

Reed is entering his fourth pro season, all with the Broncos after signing with Denver as an undrafted free agent. Reed has 13 sacks and nearly 100 tackles over the last two seasons. Reed has played in more than 14 games per season in all three of his years in the NFL.
Joe Schobert checked in to the game shortly after, missing an open-field tackle on his second play in the game. The Bills starters are walking all over a mostly second-unit Broncos team, leading 14-6 in the second quarter.
