Tim Patrick wasn’t the only Bronco to suffer an ACL tear on Tuesday

The Denver Broncos had an awful day of practice on Tuesday.
It wasn’t because the product on the field was bad. It was because of the injuries the team suffered.
The biggest blow was wide receiver Tim Patrick tearing his ACL. The team’s most consistent wide receiver over the last two years, Patrick is done for the 2022 season.
But he wasn’t the only one to suffer that brutal injury. Running back Damarea Crockett had the same thing happen. Crockett announced the news on Twitter.
Itβs Gods plan, we could never understand.

The Broncos top-three running backs are clearly Javonte Williams, Melvin Gordon and Mike Boone. But Crockett had a chance to make the team, or at least be on the practice squad. Crockett appeared in 12 games a season ago, rushing three times for seven yards. He primarily played on special teams.
An undrafted free agent out of Missouri in 2019, Crockett had short stints with the Texans, Raiders and Packers before finding a more stable home in Denver.
It stinks when anyone tears an ACL, but having two in one day is a blow for the Broncos. Here’s hoping both get better soon — although each guy has a long recovery ahead.
