One more game.
That’s all that stands between the Colorado Avalanche and bringing the Stanley Cup home to Denver for the first time since 2001.
The Avs currently lead the Lightning 3-1 in the Final, thanks to Nazem Kadri’s OT heroics on Wednesday night in Tampa Bay.
And while we don’t want to get too far ahead of ourselves, folks are already thinking about a potential championship celebration, which would obviously include an epic parade.
Chris Fuselier, owner of one of Denver’s best bars in the Blake Street Tavern, is reporting two possible dates for when the celebration could be. If the Avs close it out in five games, it would be early next week. Six or seven would mean a couple of days later.
If we win #StanleyCup, I’m hearing the Parade will be Tuesday, June 28 if we win Game 5 and Thursday, June 30 if we win Game 6 or 7.
The economic and social impact of the #Avs Stanley Cup Run cannot be overstated. What a shot in the arm for Downtown’s Restaurants/Bars! pic.twitter.com/rgRX7coAUd

Fuselier adds that there had been talk of a Sunday parade if the Avalanche win the Stanley Cup in five games, but that would conflict with Denver’s Pride parade scheduled for this weekend.
Obviously, the hope is the Avs close the Lightning out tomorrow night at Ball Arena. But even if it takes a little longer, we just want our first parade since Peyton Manning, Von Miller and the Denver Broncos threw one back in February of 2016.
Clear your calendars for Tuesday June, 28 and Thursday, June, 30!
